Tomorrow night is the Imani Christian Academy Annual Gala event at the Westin Hotel in Downtown Pittsburgh. I donated a print of my Duquesne Incline illustration for inclusion in an "I Love Pittsburgh" package up for auction. This is a wonderful event and helps to raise funds to provide financial aid to the at-risk, inner-city children of the Pittsburgh area who attend the Imani Christian Academy.
On Wednesday, January 31st I stopped by the Wilkinsburg Community Development Corporation to drop off the shipment of prints I did for them of the Wilkinsburg Pennsylvania Railroad Station. I had the pleasure of meeting with Marlee, Kevin and Sophia who were very excited to receive the prints. I was contacted in December by Marlee about designing an illustration of the Railroad Station, which the WCDC is currently working on a restoration project of the 1916 train station.
